1. Who we are

The subscription is operated by CIFRA FZCO, licence No. DMCC193593, Unit No. 1797, DMCC Business Centre, Level No. 1, Jewellery & Gemplex 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“CIFRA”, “we”, “us”).

2. What you are subscribing to
By submitting your name and email address and choosing to subscribe, you agree to receive emails from CIFRA about CIFRA Meetups, including:

• announcements of upcoming CIFRA Meetups; and
• notifications when registration for a CIFRA Meetup opens.

These emails may also contain information directly related to a Meetup, such as its topic, speakers, date and time, and a link to the relevant Meetup or registration page.
Your subscription to CIFRA Meetups updates does not constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing or promotional communications from CIFRA. We will request separate consent where required if we wish to send you other types of marketing communications.

3. Subscription is not registration
Subscribing to Meetup updates does not register you for any particular Meetup and does not guarantee availability of a place.
Where registration is required, you must complete the separate registration process indicated in the relevant email or on the Meetup page.
Meetup dates, speakers, topics, format and availability may change. We will use reasonable efforts to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

4. Personal data
For the purpose of managing your subscription, CIFRA may process:

• your name;
• your email address; and
• information necessary to record and manage your subscription, such as the date of subscription, the version of these Terms accepted, your subscription status and any subsequent unsubscribe request.

We use this information to administer the Meetup mailing list and send the communications described in Section 2.
Where consent is required under applicable data protection or electronic marketing laws, we rely on the consent you provide when subscribing.

5. Service providers and international processing
CIFRA may use third-party service providers to host the Meetup webpage, manage subscriptions, store relevant information and send emails on our behalf.
Your information may therefore be processed in countries other than the country in which you live. Where required by applicable law, CIFRA will use appropriate safeguards for such processing and transfers.

6. How long we keep your information
We keep your subscription information for as long as you remain subscribed to CIFRA Meetup updates.
If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from the active Meetup mailing list. We may retain limited information about your unsubscribe request where reasonably necessary to ensure that you are not contacted again and to demonstrate compliance with our legal obligations.

7. Unsubscribing
You can withdraw your consent and stop receiving CIFRA Meetup updates at any time:

• by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails; or
• by contacting privacy@cifra.com.

Unsubscribing is free of charge.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your consent was withdrawn.

8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Meetup programme, our service providers or applicable law.
If a change materially expands the purposes for which we use your email address, we will request new consent where required by applicable law.

9. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without limiting any mandatory rights that you may have under the laws applicable in your country of residence.
