We live with technologies that quietly shape our everyday lives — often without us noticing. They sort, watch, predict, and influence what we see and how we act, while keeping their inner logic mostly out of reach.
So what does it mean to deal with systems we’re not really meant to look inside?
This community meetup continues the RestArt Reality series and looks at how artists engage with opaque technological systems from within. Rather than treating technology as a neutral tool or a distant threat, these practices step inside platforms, infrastructures, and interfaces – sometimes following their rules, sometimes bending them, and sometimes letting them fail.
In the video recording participants explore how artists turn interaction with technology into dialogue, play, tension, and experimentation. Not to master these systems or escape them, but to find moments where agency can surface – when things glitch, behave unexpectedly, or slip slightly out of control.
