His exhibitions have brought artists from different cultures and art histories into conversation, including the landmark Africa Remix. He is a CIFRA curator and member of its Artistic Vision Council
Theo Eshetu
speaker
Video artist working across video, installation, and essay film for over four decades. Born in London to an Ethiopian father and a Dutch mother, he grew up in several countries before beginning his practice in Rome. His work draws on anthropology, art history and religious iconography, moving from large-scale video installations to essay-like films that question what images can reveal
